Definitely a weekend of very mixed fortunes - and one we're happy to forget!

Heat 1 started on a wet and greasy track, so we were pleased to maintain our starting position by the time the chequered flag came down.

Heat 2 was an altogether different situation! Drying track, ideal kart setup; we felt really positive for this session - and the great lap times showed the performance gains really well.

Unfortunately in Heat 3 the gremlins resurfaced and a fuel issue caused us to pull off track very early in the race. Another DNF to put under our belt!

Then Heat 4 ruined the day for us altogether. After a great start in the front running pack, we were hit heavily from behind by a driver attempting a completely unnecessary move! Pitching us on to the wet grass, the kart completely lost any traction and ended up pirouetting back across the track into the face of the oncoming hard-accelerating pack. A heavy side on impact by a completely innocent driver with nowhere else to go, damaged the kart beyond the possibility of any further participation and our weekend was over! A full chassis upwards rebuild follows for the team mechanic! Thanks dad......
